Biography
I began my career as a barrister in Liverpool in 1977. Over time, my practice shifted towards personal injury and clinical negligence, areas where law and human experience intersect. In 2015, I co-founded Complete Counsel, rethinking how barristers engage with their work.
A year later, I became a CEDR-accredited mediator, expanding my reach beyond the courtroom into dispute resolution. Like my father (a common law barrister in the 1950s and 1960s), I have always practised from Liverpool, but I have travelled the whole country.
I have an affinity with Liverpool due to its down-to-earth approach and unique sense of humour.
